A lot of students are getting obsessed with the news such as someone is making thousands of dollars on the Internet, or young student had made millions in just six months using a laptop, etc.
Yes. You can also make such money too.
But you have to work your ass off; you have to learn the things, you have to put in work, you must have passion, you must have skills, dedication, patience, persistence.
Getting obsessed & dreaming of a better life will NOT work.
You should have at least one skill that you are passionate about. You must have a passion to convert that skill into money making machine.
I’ve explained above ten methods easily. Read them carefully and choose one to start with.
Always remember,
Easy Work = Low Income & Hard Work = High Income
Let’s get started!
1. Micro Work
A microwork is doing a little amount of work for a little amount of money.
If you have a skill, you can sell it on the microwork platforms. One of my favorite micro work platforms is Fiverr.com
On the Fiverr, you can sell almost any skill.
You might be expert in making a powerpoint presentation, designing a logo, identifying grammar mistakes, creating a website, etc.
You’ll make money depending on the demand for your skills.
A service sold on the Fiverr is called as a ‘Gig.’ You could quickly create a gig by doing registration on the Fiverr. You can set a price of your gig starting from $5.
I have six steps blueprint to be successful on Fiverr.
- Identify your Skills
- Find already selling gigs
- Analyze the high performing gigs
- Create a better gig than available ones
- Promote it on the social media & blogs
- Provide high-quality service & get a good feedback
1. Identify your Skills:
Do you know your skills?
If yes, then good. If you don’t know just ask yourself, What am I passionate about? Which are the things I know better? What can I teach someone?
You’ll get plenty of ideas.
As I’ve already said, You might be expert in designing website, graphics, logo, making impressive powerpoint presentations, proofreading, video editing, etc.
You can make money with almost any skill on Fiverr.
Fiverr has these eight main categories. Check if your skill set would fit under any of these categories.
- Video & Animation – Whiteboard Explainer, Animated Logo, Short Video Ads, Video Editing, etc.
- Graphic & Design – Logo, Cartoons, Infographics, Social Media, Book Covers, Flyers, Photo Editing, etc.
- Digital Marketing – SEO, PPC, Content, Social Media, Video, Email, E-Commerce, etc.
- Writing & Translation – Article Writing, Resume, Copywriting, Translation, Transcription, etc.
- Music & Video – Voice Over, Music Mixing, Songwriting, Composing, etc.
- Programming & Tech – Creating WordPress/HTML/E-Commerce sites, Programming, IT Support, Testing, etc.
- Business – Legal/Finance Consulting, Virtual Assistants, Career Advice, Business Plans, etc.
- Fun & LifeStyle – Sketching, Interior Design Ideas, anything funny & challenging, mimicry, etc.
Once you know your skills, you have to find whether it has the demand or not.
2. Find already selling gigs:
Go to Fiverr & search gigs by entering your skill name in the search bar. E.g., Logo Designing
You will get already selling gigs. As you are new on the platform, just check out how it is working, how other people have listed their gigs.
Most importantly, Checkout the number of orders (highlighted in the above image). A high number of orders mean more demand.
Don’t dive into “PRO” tagged gigs, as these are for highly expert people.
3. Analyze the high performing gigs:
Check out the gigs with the higher number of orders & good feedback (rated out of five). Analyze every bit of information.
As you are a student, you don’t know anything about Fiverr & you are a newbie in the online money-making world.
So, Analyzing the gigs will help you to understand the Fiverr platform.
You should analyze the things such as:
- How has the description written?
- How are the prices given?
- Which extra services are they offering?
- Which are FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) given?
- What is the feedback given by customers?
This analyzation would also help you to create a gig.
4. Create a better gig than available ones
You have analyzed the gigs. Now, Its time to create one. If you haven’t registered on Fiverr, do the registration & create a gig.
You should create a better gig than those already available. Upload a good image, write an attractive title, compelling description, and, craft good pricing packages.
You can create a Fiverr gig with these six steps:
- Overview – Basic gig information. Write attention-grabbing title.
- Pricing – Pricing structure of the gig
- Description & FAQ – Write an attractive description and add FAQs
- Requirements – If anyone does buy your gig, what requirements you’ll need to complete order.
- Gallery – Attractive image + portfolio.
- Publish – Now, Publish your gig.
5. Promote it on the social media & blogs:
Once your gig is ready, promote it on all your social media accounts.
Join the Facebook & LinkedIn groups which are related to your service and promote your gigs.
If you have a blog, place a badge on the sidebar. You can find the badge under “Selling -> Promote Yourself” option in the Fiverr dashboard.
You can also create your custom badge there. Copy the code & paste on your website page.
6. Provide high-quality service & get good feedback:
You won’t get orders as soon as you create a gig. It will take a few days or even months to get your first sale. The promotion of your gig is an essential task.
If you promote your gig & if you get more eyeballs rolling in, you will receive your first order in just a couple of days.
After receiving an order, You MUST provide the high-quality services to your clients. Always give more than promised. It’ll make your clients happy.
You should always ask your clients to provide POSITIVE feedback after delivering an order.
When you get high-quality feedback from your clients, you’ll get more orders organically.
